This BDFHYK O2 sensor is an OE-style aftermarket replacement for listed Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer applications matching 234-4669 and the listed cross-reference numbers. It is intended for the listed application-specific upstream or downstream position. Before ordering, verify the year when listed, make, model, engine when listed, exact sensor position, original part number, connector, wiring layout, lead length, and emissions configuration. A Check Engine Light or stored OBD-II code does not by itself confirm that the oxygen sensor has failed.

  • Match the listed vehicle application and engine where an engine is provided.
  • Compare the original sensor reference with 234-4669 and the listed cross-reference numbers.
  • Confirm the exact exhaust position, connector, terminal layout, wire arrangement, lead length, and emissions configuration before ordering.

Confirm the Correct O2 Sensor Position

The current product record lists this O2 sensor for upstream and downstream use depending on the application, but it does not establish one universal installation position. Confirm the original part number, exhaust location, connector, wiring layout, lead length, and vehicle-specific service information before installation.

Diagnosis Before Replacement

A stored OBD-II code or Check Engine Light does not prove the sensor itself has failed. Inspect the connector, wiring, heater circuit, related fuse, power and ground, exhaust leaks, intake or vacuum leaks, fuel-pressure or injector faults, misfires, and catalyst operation as applicable. P0171, P0174, P0420, or P0430 should be diagnosed before parts are replaced.

Installation Notes

  • Allow the exhaust to cool completely before removal.
  • Use an O2 sensor socket or suitable wrench and disconnect the connector without pulling on the wires.
  • Compare the replacement with the removed sensor, inspect the bung threads, and start the sensor by hand.
  • Use anti-seize only when permitted by the sensor instructions and keep compounds away from the sensing element.
  • Tighten to the applicable vehicle service specification and route the lead away from heat, sharp edges, and moving parts.
  • After repair, clear codes as appropriate and complete the applicable readiness drive cycle before an emissions inspection.
