BDFHYK 100 Micron Inline Fuel Filter with Bracket

Hard starting, hesitation, loss of power under load, or unusual fuel-pump noise may involve restricted fuel delivery, although similar symptoms can also come from the pump, tank pickup, regulator, injectors, wiring, or contaminated fuel. This serviceable 100 micron inline fuel filter includes a fuel filter bracket and 6AN, 8AN, and 10AN adapters for compatible EFI and custom fuel systems. Confirm filtration requirements, fuel compatibility, operating pressure, flow demand, connection threads, filter placement, and mounting space before ordering.

100 Micron Fuel Filter for Coarse Fuel-System Filtration

Pre-Pump Filter Placement

A 100 micron fuel filter is commonly considered for coarse filtration before a compatible fuel pump, but the correct position depends on pump design, inlet restriction limits, and the complete system layout. Follow the fuel-pump manufacturer’s pre-filter and post-filter requirements before installation.

E85, Gasoline and Diesel Applications

The listed fuel applications include gasoline, diesel, and E85. When configuring an E85 fuel filter or diesel inline fuel filter, confirm that the hoses, O-rings, fittings, pump, regulator, and injectors are compatible with the intended fuel.

6AN, 8AN and 10AN Fuel Filter Connections

Included AN Adapter Sizes

  • The filter body uses 10AN ports with 7/8-14 UNF threads.
  • The included 6AN fuel filter adapters use 9/16-18 UNF threads.
  • The included 8AN fuel filter adapters use 3/4-16 UNF threads.
  • The included 10AN fuel filter adapters use 7/8-14 UNF threads.

Fuel Line Fitment Checks

Match the adapter thread, fuel-line size, operating pressure, required flow, and available installation space. Do not infer fuel-flow capacity from the AN size or housing diameter alone.

Serviceable Aluminum Inline Fuel Filter Construction

50 mm T-6061 Aluminum Housing

  • Housing color: Black and Red.
  • Housing diameter: 50 mm.
  • Housing length: 4.19 in.
  • Housing material: T-6061 aluminum alloy.

Washable Stainless Steel Filter Element

This aluminum inline fuel filter uses a removable stainless steel element rated at 100 micron. The element is washable and reusable when the mesh, end structure, spring contact area, and sealing surfaces remain undamaged.

Fuel Filter Bracket and Mounting Support

Included 50 mm Bracket Clamp

The included fuel filter bracket supports the 50 mm housing when mounted to a suitable vehicle or equipment surface. Position the assembly away from exhaust heat, ignition sources, moving components, sharp edges, and areas exposed to road impact.

Mounting Alignment

Support the housing without twisting the fuel lines or placing side load on the adapters. Recheck the bracket, fittings, and nearby hose routing after the system has been pressurized.

Symptoms to Diagnose Before Inline Fuel Filter Replacement

Possible Fuel-Delivery Restriction Symptoms

  • Hard starting or extended cranking.
  • Hesitation, stalling, or loss of power during acceleration or under load.
  • Reduced fuel pressure or restricted flow confirmed through testing.
  • Unusual fuel-pump noise associated with restriction, contamination, or pump wear.
  • Visible debris in the existing element or overdue filter service.

Related Fuel-System Parts to Inspect

A restricted inline fuel filter may contribute to these conditions, but diagnosis should also include the fuel pump, tank pickup, fuel lines, hoses, pressure regulator, injectors, relay, fuse, wiring, and fuel quality.

Inline Fuel Filter Direction and Leak Inspection

Filter Element and Flow Direction

Install the closed end of the filter element against the spring and follow the directional arrow on the housing. Confirm the inline fuel filter flow direction before tightening the adapters and supporting the assembly.

Pressure and Leak Check

Relieve fuel-system pressure before service. Inspect every O-ring, thread, and sealing surface before assembly. After installation, prime or cycle the system according to the applicable procedure and inspect the housing, adapters, fittings, and fuel lines under pressure. Correct any seepage before starting or driving.

This is an OE-style aftermarket replacement, not a factory-branded part.
