Three years ago, I put on a different aftermarket piston/strut. They wore out. These feel much more robust. Time will tell. Easy to do in 5 minutes with a small flat head screwdriver.
They are very strong.

Very pleased with the ease of installation. My camper went from having a window held open with a clamp, to opening and staying open with its own struts. Hopefully they last longer than the factory struts did, but for $15 dollars I can��t complain about anything.

replaced my old ones on my 2005 pickup bed canopy. these are so easy to install and so stiff and strong....it takes 2 hands to open the canopy window :) I am perfectly fine with that, I like the stronger seal....keeps rain water from going into the canopy now. thank you

Perfect 2008 Nissan Armada
These lifts for my camper top took all of 5 minutes to install and fit perfectly. Nicely packaged with clear instructions in case you have never replaced them before. The average life of these appears to be around 5-6 years, and well worth the money.
Although installation was straightforward, it was harder than expected to get the old ones off. However, once installed, worked great at a good price. No more snow broom holding up the hood!
The fitment was good, these are very powerful and popped my hood right up. Although I won��t need to replace these anytime soon, I will be replacing my rear hatchback with the same brand.
Fits my 02 LX470 Perfectly!! Extremely pleased with these struts, easy to install, and although they're a smaller diameter than the OEM, they feel strong enough to hold the load.
Not sure why I waited so long to replace these struts - I thought it was going to be a big deal. These worked great and they were a cinch to install. Just make sure you have a 12mm open end wrench to make your life easier. This job literally took all of 15 minutes to complete - and now when I open the front hood and start to lift - these struts lift it the rest of the way and hold it firmly in place. Excellent!
