Practical Features for Everyday Truck Use

Reinforced Hard Panels: Aluminum honeycomb panels reinforced with fiberglass provide a rigid cover over your cargo area.
Integrated LED Cargo Light: Adds visibility when accessing tools, bags, or outdoor equipment in low-light conditions.
Weather-Resistant Bed Coverage: Perimeter seals and drainage channels help reduce exposure to rain, dust, and road debris.
Under-Rail Clamp Mounting: The clamp-on design avoids permanent drilling when installed as directed and compatible with the truck's bed configuration.

Fold Back When You Need Bed Access

The three-panel design lets you fold the cover in sections for convenient access to everyday cargo. Keep work supplies covered between stops, or access your gear when preparing for a weekend trip. Follow the supplied instructions for folding, removal, and securing the cover before driving.

Installation & Use Notes

Verify the bed size and mounting clearance before installation.
Follow the supplied instructions when fitting and adjusting the cover and clamps.
Check that all panels, latches, and mounting hardware are properly secured before driving.
Weather-resistant seals help reduce water entry but do not guarantee a completely watertight truck bed.
Do not exceed the manufacturer's verified load limits. Avoid standing or placing concentrated loads on the cover.

Tools Required

Allen wrench (Toyota/Nissan/Jeep models only).
The guide also notes that cutting the bedliner may be necessary, but it does not specify a cutting tool.

Pre-Installation Checklist

Clean the bulkhead and bed rail before installation.
For Ford trucks, stick the front seal strip on the front of the bed rail.
For Toyota/Nissan/Jeep models, model-specific mounting blocks and an Allen wrench are included.

Installation Steps

Clean the bulkhead and bed rail; on Ford trucks, apply the front seal strip to the front of the bed rail.
Place the cover assembly on both sides of the front truck bed rail against the cab and release the safety buckles.
Pull the front clamps down to a vertical position, loosen the knobs, slide the clamps to the bed rail, place the clamp pads, hook the J-shaped clamps under the metal bed rail lip, and hand-tighten the knobs.
Fully unfold the cover. Pull the rear clamps down, slide them to the bed rail, place the clamp pads, adjust the clamp length, hook the J-shaped clamps under the metal bed rail lip, and push the clamp handles to the vertical position.
Seal the tailgate with the seal foam strip and stick the front seal strip on the front of the bed rail. For Chevy applications, follow the extra Z-bracket installation shown in the guide.
To fold the cover, open the tailgate, release the rear clamps, fold up the first panel, and secure the rear clamps back to their original position.
Fold up the second panel and secure the safety buckles.

Post-Installation Verification

Check that the clamps are secure and the securing straps/safety buckles are tight.
For the front clamp knobs, hand-tighten only; do not overtighten.

Troubleshooting

If the bedliner interferes with clamp placement, the guide states that cutting the bedliner may be necessary.
The clamps may not be precisely vertical after installation.
For Chevy applications, install the extra Z bracket as shown in the guide.

BDFHYK HARD TRI-FOLD TONNEAU COVER INSTALLATION GUIDE

Q: Will this Colorado / Canyon tonneau cover fit my truck?

A: This cover is listed for 2015-2026 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon with 5.2 ft or 6.2 ft bed options. Confirm your inside bed length and rail setup before ordering.

Q: How do I choose between the 5.2 ft and 6.2 ft options?

A: Measure from the front bulkhead to the inside of the tailgate. The 5.2 ft option is about 61.7-62 in, while the 6.2 ft option is about 73-74 in.

Q: Is this a hard or soft tonneau cover?

A: This is a hard tri-fold tonneau cover with reinforced hard panels and folding bed access.

Q: Does this Colorado or Canyon bed cover require drilling?

A: It is designed for clamp-on no-drill installation when installed as directed. Bed liners, bed rail caps, cargo rails, or toolboxes may affect clearance.

Q: Does this cover include LED lighting?

A: Yes. The product content lists integrated LED cargo lighting for night bed access.

Q: Is this tonneau cover waterproof?

A: It uses weather-resistant seals to help reduce rain, snow, dust, and debris exposure, but it should not be described as a fully waterproof sealed system.

Q: Will bed liners, rail caps, or cargo rails affect fitment?

A: Yes. Those accessories can change clamp clearance. Check your bed liner type, bed rail caps, cargo rail system, toolbox position, and tailgate clearance before ordering.

Q: Does the hard folding cover help with cargo security?

A: The hard-shell cover can help protect cargo when the cover is latched and the tailgate is closed and locked, if applicable. It is not a substitute for secured storage of high-value items.

Q: Can I drive with the tri-fold cover folded open?

A: Follow the product installation and operating instructions. Before driving, make sure the panels, clamps, and latches are secured in the approved position.

Q: How much weight can this bed cover support?

A: This product is listed to support up to 500 lbs of evenly distributed weight. Avoid point loads, standing on the cover, or using it beyond the stated instructions.

Q: Can I get full bed access?

A: The tri-fold design allows partial bed access for regular loading and can be removed when full bed access is needed, following the product instructions.

Q: Will this tonneau cover improve fuel economy?

Great bed cover

Absolutely love it, It fits great and for the price it is hard to beat, much nicer than my previous cover. It feels well made and folds up easy.

So far....so good ;)

Installation is very simple, one person is enough to do it. So far, i have had no water intrusion so its pretty tight and well fitting. It honestly feels better than the price. No difference really than most big brand names. The light is no good, however.

Great Looking Cover

The fit was little off on my 2026 Toyota Tacoma.I align it evenly on both sides, it installs great. My only issue was with the brackets for securing the front panels. The instructions are a bit tricky. Otherwise I really like it aa a budget-friendly option.

Great look and durability

Excellent cover. I was not sure about how sturdy it would be after we had had the soft cover for years and were very happy with it but we were replacing the truck and wanted to upgrade to a hard cover. Great add on

Fits my Tacoma TRD Sport

Shipping was quick enough. Price is good.
Quality product.Installing was quick enough.

Tacoma Tonneau Cover

I like it a lot. Strong, and durable.
Not a fan of how the first fold lock down is. But it does what it supposed to do.

Looks great, it was a easy install i am 80 years old and I installed it myself

They fit perfect.

Seems to be good quality for the money. Installation was easy enough. You just tighten down the brackets along the cover. It feels very solid. Heavy as hell so if it would be easier if you had another person to help you
